Financial Aid Application

Prospective families that are interested in applying for financial aid at Concord Academy should return the Request for Financial Aid Application Form A1 postcard as soon as possible and no later than January 15. When we receive this postcard, we will mail you a paper copy of the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).

Complete the paper version of the PFS and return the forms to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in Princeton, New Jersey, by January 31. Concord Academy’s school code is 2560. For faster service you may also access electronic versions of the PFS. Please print out and mail a copy of your completed online PFS to CA in order to ensure that we have your information by our January 31 deadline. Fee waivers for the PFS are available for families who meet certain income guidelines—please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.

In addition to the PFS, we require a signed federal tax return with all supporting schedules from either the current year or the previous year. We also require copies of current year W-2's from all working parents (or IRS Form 1099’s or a Business/Farm Statement if self-employed—a Business/Farm Statement can be downloaded here), and a signed copy of IRS form 4506—do not include the $39 fee. Some employers will not mail W-2 forms until the end of January. If this is the case, please submit all other financial aid application materials by the January 31 deadline, then send along the W-2 as soon as possible.

Special circumstances (unusual expenses, indebtedness, rental loss, business and farm liabilities, etc.) will be taken into account only when complete information is provided. If exact figures are not available in January, use estimates. Please do not delay submitting the form(s).

Divorced/Separated/Never Married Parents/Guardians

All parents (including spouses, if remarried) are required to complete a copy of the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) and return it to SSS in Princeton, New Jersey, by January 31.

Financial aid application materials must be postmarked by January 31. Applications completed after this deadline cannot be guaranteed consideration.

How did your director’s seminar complement your other classes?

Since my freshman year, I have been involved in every aspect of theater I could find, but never really directing. Director’s Seminar gave me the opportunity to synthesize everything that I had learned at CA. All of my papers, classes, performances, games, and interests influenced me as a director, and, in some way, contributed to my show. Director’s Seminar was the perfect climax to my experience in theater here. Senior year was my second in a row in which one of my major courses was a higher-level theater class, and I would not have had it any other way.
